Since 1985, Götz Friedrich's landmark staging of Wagner's epic tetralogy has loomed large in the international operatic landscape. 2017 will see the final performances of this important production, and Seth will make his role debut as Gunther. Alongside him will be some of the finest Wagnerian singers of their generation: Stefan Vinke as Siegfried, Evelyn Herlitzius as Brünnhilde, Albert Pesendorfer as Hagen, and Ricarda Merbeth as Gutrune. Leading the team through these final performances will be General Music Director Donald Runnicles.
